Privacy Policy

Who we are

Our website address is: https://moredatabetter.com.

Last updated: June 21, 2026

This policy describes what information moredatabetter.com collects and how it’s used. This site is operated by M. D. Berg.

What This Site Collects

Email address, if you subscribe to new posts. If you choose to sign up for email updates, your email address is collected solely to send you new posts from this site. It is not sold, rented, or shared with third parties for marketing purposes.

Contact form / email inquiries. If you email the address listed on the Contact page, that email and its contents are stored in the normal course of email correspondence and used only to respond to your inquiry.

Standard website data. Like most websites, this site’s hosting provider may automatically log basic technical information (such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited) for security and operational purposes. This site does not use this data to build advertising profiles.

Cookies. This site may use basic cookies required for normal site functionality (for example, remembering that you’ve seen a notice). If analytics tools (such as Google Analytics) or comment functionality are enabled, additional cookies may be set — see the relevant sections of this policy below for details on what WordPress and any active plugins collect by default.

Comments, if enabled: when you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata (such as the time it was submitted) are retained. An anonymized string created from your email address (a “hash”) may be shared with the Gravatar service to check whether you are using it; the Gravatar service’s privacy policy is available separately. After your comment is approved, your profile picture, if you have one through Gravatar, is visible to the public alongside your comment.

What This Site Does Not Do

This site does not sell visitor data. It does not use the email signup list for anything other than sending new post notifications. It does not track you across other websites for advertising purposes.

Third-Party Services

If this site uses a third-party email service (such as Buttondown) or a third-party commenting/subscription tool (such as Jetpack), those services have their own privacy policies governing how they handle the data you provide. Links to those policies will be made available wherever those tools are used on the site.

This site links out to injuryeconomics.com and maritalvaluation.com. Those sites have their own separate privacy policies.

Your Choices

You can unsubscribe from email updates at any time using the unsubscribe link included in each email, or by contacting [email protected] directly.

Children’s Privacy

This site is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

This policy may be updated from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will reflect the most recent revision.

Note: WordPress and any active plugins (such as Jetpack) may automatically append additional, more technical disclosures to this page — for example, specific details about cookies set by the platform itself. Those auto-generated sections, if present, should remain below this content rather than being removed, since they describe data handling this site doesn’t directly control.
